A halal butchery,
run like a butcher's.
Not a chiller cabinet with a sign on it — a proper service counter, 100% halal certified, where the meat is cut for you rather than for a shelf.
Everything at the counter is halal, and only halal meat is handled there. No shared blocks, no shared boards, no asterisk at the bottom of the sign.
The certificate hangs where you can read it. We would rather you asked and were satisfied than assumed — it is the whole reason a lot of Canons Park walks past two other shops to get here.
Beyond that, it is simply a good butcher's counter. Whole carcasses are broken down in the shop, so you get the cut you actually want at the thickness you actually want it, priced by the kilo. If it is not in the cabinet, ask — most of it is a two-minute job.

Weddings, aqiqah, iftar, Eid, a barbecue that got out of hand — give us a day and it will be boxed, trimmed and ready when you arrive.
Bulk mince & kebab
Trays of köfte, şiş and marinated chicken made up to order.

Aqiqah, Eid and wedding quantities arranged with the counter.

Mixed boxes of lamb, beef and chicken made up for the month ahead.

Is the butchery at Mega Food Centre 100% halal?
Yes. The butchery counter is 100% halal certified and only halal meat is handled at it. The certificate is displayed at the counter and you are welcome to ask to see it.
Can I have meat minced or cut a particular way?
That is what a service counter is for. Tell the butcher how you want it — diced for a stew, minced twice for köfte, French-trimmed, boned and rolled — and it is done while you finish the rest of your shopping.
Do you take orders for whole lamb or large quantities?
We do. Whole and half lamb, party trays and bulk orders for weddings, aqiqah, iftar and family gatherings are all straightforward with a day's notice. Speak to the counter or ring the shop.
What are your butchery opening hours?
The butchery counter is open the same hours as the shop, seven days a week. Come earlier in the day for the widest choice of cuts.
